"Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you sow."
- Robert Louis Stevenson
We accept Letters of Interest for our Urban Farmer Internships program from high school and college students on a rolling basis. Internship positions are limited. Send your Letter of Interest with references to CKC's Director of Farm Operations, Hannah Sholder (hannah@ckcfarming.org).
Our next internship term begins Tuesday, September 3, 2024!
Huge thanks to all of our Spring 2024 interns! We couldn't have done it without you! Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication!
CKC's internship program is designed for high school and college students with an interest in urban farming. Students who complete our 12-week, 4-hours/week internship are eligible for Student Service Learning (SSL) hours, college credit, or a small stipend (please note, the stipend is reserved for second and third term interns only).
A CKC internship is a rewarding and inspiring experience. Our interns learn life skills, work outside, get their hands dirty, give back to their community, collaborate with people from diverse backgrounds, contribute to their local food system and keep a small farm running smoothly.
Each internship term is 12 weeks. Interns are expected to dedicate 4 hours per week for the entire 12 week term. Intern shifts are either Monday +Wednesday or Tuesday+Thursday afternoons. Many interns stay choose to stay on for more than 12 weeks.
